Text
(a)This chapter applies to the certification of
a motor carrier providing intrastate transportation by motor vehicle of
property or passengers for compensation.
(b)Section 18 of this chapter applies to the regulation of the
following persons:
(1)A motor carrier described in subsection (a).
(2)Except as provided in section 18(j) of this chapter, a private
carrier of persons or property, or both.
