§ 8-2.1-17-16 — "Taxicab"

Indiana·Art. 2.1 MOTOR CARRIER REGULATION·Ch. 17 Definitions

"Taxicab" means a motor vehicle that:

(1)is designed and constructed to accommodate and transport not more than six (6) passengers in addition to the driver;
(2)does not operate over any definite and designated routes within the corporate boundaries of a city or town and the suburban territory of a city or town; and
(3)transports passengers to the destination designated by the passengers at the time of their transportation. The term does not include a personal vehicle operated by a TNC driver.
