§ 8-17-3-1 — Supervisor of county highways; duties; compensation; personal vehicle expenses; tools and equipment

The county executive shall appoint a person as a supervisor of county highways. The county highway supervisor has general charge of the repair and maintenance of the county highways. The supervisor shall receive compensation for the services fixed by the county executive. The county executive shall pay the supervisor when a personal vehicle is used for necessary travel, a sum for mileage at a rate determined by the county fiscal body. The county executive shall provide all tools and equipment and the housing and repair of the tools and equipment. Formerly: Acts 1933, c.27, s.1; Acts 1945, c.165, s.1; Acts 1975, P.L.15, SEC.8.
