§ 8-16-1-6 — Authority to purchase land or structures

Indiana·Art. 16 BRIDGES AND TUNNELS·Ch. 1 Operation and Financing of State Bridges to Adjoining
The authority is authorized to purchase in the state of Indiana and in any adjoining state, solely from funds provided under the authority of this chapter, such lands, structures, rights-of-way, franchises, easements, or other interests in lands, including lands under water, riparian rights of any person, railroad, or other public or private corporations or municipality, necessary for the building or acquiring, by purchase or otherwise, of said bridges and approaches thereto upon such terms, prices, or consideration as may be considered by it to be reasonable, and can be agreed upon between it and the owner or owners, title thereto to be taken in the name of the state of Indiana.
