§ 8-15-3-34 — Employment of police officers
The department may arrange for the use and
employment of police officers to police a tollway. The police officers
employed under this section are vested with all necessary police
powers to enforce state laws. A police officer employed under this
section has the same powers within the property limits of a tollway as
a law enforcement officer (as defined in IC 35-31.5-2-185) within the
law enforcement officer's jurisdiction. A warrant of arrest issued by the
proper authority of the state may be executed within the property limits
of the tollway by a police officer employed by the department or an
operator.
