Text

(a)The underground plant protection account is established to provide funding for the following programs established and administered by the commission:
(1)Public awareness programs concerning underground plant protection.
(2)Training and educational programs for contractors, excavators, locators, operators, and other persons involved in underground plant protection.
(3)Incentive programs for contractors, excavators, locators, operators, and other persons involved in underground plant protection to reduce the number of violations of this chapter.
(b)The commission shall administer the account.
(c)The treasurer of state shall invest money in the account not currently needed to meet the obligations of the account in the same manner as other public money may be invested. Interest that a
