Text

(a)This section applies after a utility has properly withdrawn from commission jurisdiction under this chapter.
(b)The commission shall revoke or limit the withdrawal from the jurisdiction of the commission of a utility if the lesser of:
(1)one hundred (100); or
(2)more than fifty percent (50%); of the utility's customers file, individually or collectively, a verified petition with the commission and prove that the public interest requires the commission to revoke or limit the withdrawal from the jurisdiction of the commission.
(c)A petition may be filed with the commission under this section at any time following the withdrawal of the utility.
