Text

(a)The chief executive officer of the corporation may enter into a memorandum of understanding with one (1) or more nonprofit organizations that are recognized supporters of a specific state historic site and are exempt from taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The memorandum of understanding may provide that the nonprofit organization or organizations may maintain a gift shop and offer special events at the state historic site.
(b)A memorandum of understanding entered into under this section may not do any of the following to restrict the fundraising activities of an organization described in subsection (a):
(1)Require the organization to deposit into the fund the proceeds of a fundraising activity approved by the chief executive officer.
