(a)A licensee that offers slot machine
wagering at racetracks under this article shall annually pay to the
commission a problem gambling fee equal to five hundred thousand
dollars ($500,000) for each racetrack at which the licensee offers slot
machine wagering. The commission shall annually retain two hundred
fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) from the total amount paid under this
section for the commission's own efforts at preventing and treating
compulsive gambling. The commission shall transfer the remaining
seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) received each year to
the division.
(b)The amount retained by the commission under subsection (a)
shall be deposited in the problem gambling program fund established
by section 5 of this chapter.
