(a)As used in this section, "state agency" has
the meaning set forth in IC 4-12-1-2.
(b)Before November 1, 2023, the department of education shall
report to the legislative council in an electronic format under IC 5-14-6
findings and recommendations for reducing the amount of redundant
data that schools are required to submit to state agencies.
(c)The OMB shall establish a kindergarten through grade 12 data
governance team comprised of subject matter experts from state
agencies that collect data, reports, and other information from schools
and school corporations, as determined by the OMB.
(d)Not later than November 1, 2024, the kindergarten through
grade 12 data governance team established by the OMB under
subsection (c) shall:
(1)develop a comprehensive plan to:
