§ 4-23-34-3 — Membership

(a)The commission consists of the following members:

(1)The governor or the governor's designee.

(2)The lieutenant governor.

(3)The adjutant general of the Indiana National Guard.

(4)The director of the Indiana department of veterans' affairs.

(5)One (1) member of the house of representatives appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives.

(6)One (1) member of the house of representatives appointed by the minority leader of the house of representatives.

(7)One (1) member of the senate appointed by the president pro tempore of the senate.

(8)One (1) member of the senate appointed by the minority leader of the senate.

(9)One (1) member appointed by the governor who represents a state or local organization dedicated to American Revolutionary War reenactment.

American Legion, Department of Indiana.
(C) One (1) member nominated by the executive director of the
Indiana war memorials.
(D) One (1) member nominated by the president of the
Crossroads of America Council, Boy Scouts of America.
(E) One (1) member nominated by the board of directors of the
Girl Scouts of Central Indiana.
(F) One (1) member nominated by the president of the Indiana
Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.
(G) One (1) member nominated by the board of management of
the Indiana Daughters of the American Revolution.
(H) One (1) member jointly nominated by the aerie state
president and the auxiliary state president of the Indiana State
Fraternal Order of Eagles.
(I) One (1) member nominated by the president of the Indiana
historical society.
(12) One (1) member appointed by the Indiana Association of
Museums.
(13) One (1) member appointed by the Indiana Council for Social
Studies.
(14) One (1) member appointed by the Indiana Humanities
Council.
(15) One (1) member appointed by the Native American
Commission.
(b) If a vacancy occurs in the membership of the commission, the
appointing authority that appointed the member whose position is
vacant shall appoint an individual to fill the vacancy.
