Text
There is hereby created a commission to be
known as the Indiana commission for arts and humanities in education.
The commission consists of eight (8) members and the secretary of
education. The eight (8) members shall be appointed by the governor
and shall serve for a term of four (4) years. However, four (4) of the
commissioners who are initially appointed shall serve for two (2) years.
In the event of a vacancy, the governor shall appoint a successor to
complete the unexpired term. In making such appointments, due
consideration shall be given to any recommendation made by any other
organization concerned with or engaged in arts and humanities in
education. Insofar as is practical, members of the commission shall be
selected so as to give representation to the various geographical areas
