§ 13-21-3-7 — Joint districts; executive committees; powers
Indiana·Art. 21 SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT DISTRICTS
(a)In:
(1)a joint district; or
(2)a single district having a population of more than four hundred
thousand (400,000) and less than seven hundred thousand
(700,000);
the board appointed under section 5 of this chapter may elect from the
board's membership an executive committee having an odd number of
members.
(b)An executive committee elected under subsection (a) for a joint
district has only the powers invested in the committee by resolution of
the board. An executive committee may exercise any powers of the
board under this article that are delegated to the executive committee
by resolution of the board.
(c)The board of the joint district may appoint one (1) or more
alternates from among the membership of the board to:
(1)participate; and
(2)exercise the power to vote;
