Text
(a)The department may inspect a vehicle for
the purpose of determining compliance with this chapter.
(b)The department may:
(1)inspect a vehicle that is not moving; and
(2)not stop a vehicle that is in motion on a public highway (as
defined in IC 9-25-2-4) only to conduct an inspection;
under subsection (a).
