§ 13-12-4-3 — Policy statement

Indiana·Art. 12 GENERAL PROVISIONS·Ch. 4 Environmental Impact Statements

The general assembly declares that it is the continuing policy of the state, in cooperation with the federal and local governments and other concerned public and private organizations, to use all practicable means and measures, including financial and technical assistance, in a manner calculated to do the following:

(1)Foster and promote the general welfare.
(2)Create and maintain conditions under which humans and nature can exist in productive harmony.
(3)Fulfill the social, economic, and other requirements of present and future generations of Indiana citizens. [Pre-1996 Recodification Citation: 13-1-10-2(a) part.]
