§ 13-11-2-260 — "Water pollution"
Indiana·Art. 11 DEFINITIONS
"Water pollution", for purposes of water pollution control laws and environmental management laws, means:
(1)actual or threatened alteration of the physical, thermal,
chemical, biological, bacteriological, or radioactive properties of
any waters; or
(2)the discharge or threatened discharge of any contaminant into
any waters that does or can create a nuisance or make the waters
harmful, detrimental, or injurious to any of the following:
(A)Public health, safety, or welfare.
(B)Domestic, commercial, industrial, agricultural, recreational,
or other legitimate uses.
(C)Livestock, wild animals, birds, fish, or aquatic life.
