§ 1-1-4-8 — Status of members of the general assembly serving on governmental bodies

For purposes of a statute providing for the reimbursement of the expenses incurred by an individual serving as a member of a task force, a commission, a committee, or another body (however designated), a member of the general assembly is not considered a state employee.
