§ 9-2-93

In case of such a payment of a withdrawn or forfeited special assessment, the municipal collector or county clerk, as the case may be, shall collect a penalty of 12% on the amount of the forfeiture and on the amount of the withdrawn special assessment together with interest and costs to the date of withdrawal or forfeiture for the first year after the date of that withdrawal or forfeiture, and after that first year interest at the rate of 6% annually. The municipal collector or the county clerk, as the case may be, shall pay over to the officer of the municipality entitled to receive the same, within 30 days after the collection has been made, all special assessments, together with interest, penalties, and also statutory costs advanced by the municipality and collected by him.
