Compensation for any services performed by members of the township board, the township supervisor as ex officio treasurer, and the township clerk as recording officer in connection with the maintenance and operation of a system shall be fixed by ordinance by the township board before the issuance of any bonds under this Article. The compensation shall not be increased while any revenue bonds issued under this Article after the adoption of an ordinance fixing compensation are outstanding.
