§ 5-35001 — Committees on finance and public service

The board of Commissioners of the County of Cook shall establish and provide for the appointment of a committee on finance and may establish and provide for the appointment of a committee on public service. The Board of Commissioners may provide for a superintendent of public service, who shall hold his office for one year and until his successor is appointed. He may be suspended or removed by the president. He shall give a sufficient bond for the performance of his duties and be subject to the oversight and supervision of the committee on the public service. He shall perform such duties relative to the public service which may be assigned to him by the board of commissioners, who shall make and maintain regulations for the conduct and government of the department of public service not inc
