Text
There is created the Committee of Local Improvements consisting of the presiding officer of the County Board, or some person designated by him as his representative for the purposes of this Committee, the county engineer or superintendent of highways or administrative head of the county department of public works as determined by such presiding officer, and 3 members of the County Board appointed by the presiding officer of the county board with the advice and consent of the county board. The Committee shall elect from its members a president, except that the Chairman or President of the County Board, or his representative, as the case may be is prohibited from serving in that capacity. The county board shall provide by resolution for compensation not to exceed $15 per day for each member
