§ 5-30007 — Compensation, expenses and funds

The county board may compensate the study committee on a per diem or per meeting basis with a mileage allowance for travel, and may appropriate to the study committee from any funds under its control and not otherwise appropriated, such sum as the county board may deem proper to fulfill the work of the study committee. The study committee shall have the authority:
(1)to employ such planning, legal or other assistance as it may deem necessary;
(2)with the concurrence of the county board to accept, receive and expend funds, grants and services from the federal government, or its agencies; from departments, agencies and instrumentalities of the State and local governments; from private or public foundations; or from other sources;
(3)to contract with respect to any funds, grants or service
