§ 5-28008 — Payment of burial expenses

The board of directors are authorized to pay, out of the money which is appropriated to them from the county Soldiers' and Sailors' Burial Fund, the funeral and burial expenses of persons who come within the description in Section 5-28001, but in no one case shall they pay for such purpose more than $75; and they are authorized to buy and erect suitable headstones on the graves of such persons. But no money shall be expended to pay the funeral and burial expenses of any soldier or sailor who was an inmate of any soldiers' and sailors' home at the time of his death.
