§ 5-23021 — Issuance of bonds

Any county having a population of less than 500,000 inhabitants which has voted or hereafter votes to authorize a tax for tuberculosis sanitarium purposes at a rate in addition to the maximum rate now or hereafter authorized to be levied and extended for general county purposes is authorized to issue bonds as in this Division provided in an amount not to exceed one-half of one per cent on the dollar valuation of all taxable property of such county for the purpose of constructing or improving a county tuberculosis sanitarium within the county: Provided such bonds may not be issued to an amount, including existing indebtedness, in excess of the constitutional limit of indebtedness.
