§ 5-19001 — Creation of safety council

The county board of any county may, by resolution, provide for the creation of a safety council for the county to consist of such number of members to serve for such terms as may be provided in such resolution or any amendment thereof. The council may be authorized to appoint and fix the salary of a safety director and such other employees as the county board designates. The members of the safety council shall receive no compensation but may be reimbursed for any necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.
