The Illinois State Police shall participate in and regularly submit use of force information to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Use of Force Database. Within 90 days of July 1, 2021 (the effective date of Public Act 101-652), the Illinois State Police shall promulgate rules outlining the use of force information required for submission to the Database, which shall be submitted monthly by law enforcement agencies under Section 5-12.
