Text
It is declared to be the public policy of this State that the Illinois Commerce Commission established herein is a quasi-judicial body and that each commissioner shall receive an annual salary of $39,000, or such amount as set by the Compensation Review Board, whichever is greater. The chairman of the Commission shall receive in addition to his salary as a commissioner an additional sum of $8,500 per year, or an amount set by the Compensation Review Board, whichever is greater, during such time as he shall serve as chairman.
