(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2030) Sec. 13-519. Fire alarm; discontinuance of service. When a telecommunications carrier initiates a discontinuance of service on a known emergency system or fire alarm system that is required by the local authority to be a dedicated phone line circuit to the central dispatch of the fire department or fire protection district or, if applicable, the police department, the telecommunications carrier shall also transmit a copy of the written notice of discontinuance to that local authority.
