Text
Pregnancy as a qualifying life event for qualified health plans. Beginning with the operation of a State-based exchange in plan year 2026, a pregnant individual has the right to enroll in a qualified health plan through a special enrollment period within 60 days after any qualified health care professional, including a licensed certified professional midwife, licensed or certified under the laws of this State or any other state to provide pregnancy-related health care services certifies that the individual is pregnant. Upon enrollment, coverage shall be effective on and after the first day of the month in which the qualified health care professional certifies that the individual is pregnant, unless the individual elects to have coverage effective on the first day of the month following the
