Specialized mental health rehabilitation facility; one payment. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act to the contrary, beginning January 1, 2025, there shall be a separate per diem add-on paid solely and exclusively to facilities licensed under this Act that are licensed for only single occupancy rooms and have reduced their licensed capacity. No facility licensed under this Act shall be eligible for these payments if the facility contains any rooms that house more than a single occupant and have failed to reduce the facilities' licensed capacity. The payment shall be a per diem add-on payment. For facilities with less than 100 licensed beds, the add-on payment shall result in a rate not less than $240 per day. For facilities with 100 licensed beds to 130 licensed beds, the add-on payment shall result in a rate not less than $230 per day. For facilities with more than 130 licensed beds, the add-on payment shall result in a rate of not less than $220 per day. All add-on rates shall be based upon the new licensed capacity. Any additional payments in effect after January 1, 2025 under Section 5-107 shall be paid in addition to the amounts listed in this Section. Facilities receiving payments under this Section shall receive payment as prescribed under Section 5-101.
