Text
(a)In order to encourage the establishment and retention of Comprehensive Stroke Centers, Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Centers, Thrombectomy Ready Stroke Centers, Primary Stroke Centers Plus, Primary Stroke Centers, and Acute Stroke-Ready Hospitals throughout the State, the Director may award, subject to appropriation, matching grants to hospitals to be used for the acquisition and maintenance of necessary infrastructure, including personnel, equipment, and pharmaceuticals for the diagnosis and treatment of acute stroke patients. Grants may be used to pay the fee for certifications by Department approved nationally recognized certifying bodies or to provide additional training for directors of stroke care or for hospital staff.
