The Department shall coordinate the functions within State government affecting facilities licensed under this Act and shall cooperate with other State agencies which establish standards or requirements for facilities to assure necessary, equitable, and consistent State supervision of licensees without unnecessary duplication of survey, evaluation, and consultation services or complaint investigations. The Department shall cooperate with the Department of Human Services in regard to facilities containing more than 20% of residents for whom the Department of Human Services has mandated follow up responsibilities under the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Administrative Act.
