Marketplace Director of the Illinois Health Benefits Exchange. The Governor shall appoint, with the advice and consent of the Senate, a person within the Department of Insurance to serve as the Marketplace Director of the Illinois Health Benefits Exchange. The Marketplace Director shall serve for a term of 2 years, and until a successor is appointed and qualified; except that the term of the first Marketplace Director appointed under this Law shall expire on the third Monday in January 2027. The Marketplace Director may serve for more than one term. The Governor may make a temporary appointment until the next meeting of the Senate.
