§ 5-26 — Purchase of real estate in satisfaction of judgment

The trustees of schools or township land commissioners may purchase real estate in satisfaction of any judgment in any action wherein the trustees or township land commissioners or the county superintendent of schools are parties, if, in their opinion the interests of the township fund will be promoted thereby.
