§ 54-5803 — POLICY AND REQUIREMENTS OF LICENSURE
In order to safeguard the public health, safety and welfare, persons practicing or offering to practice an occupation defined in and governed by this chapter shall submit evidence of their qualifications and shall be licensed, certificated or registered as hereinafter provided. It shall be unlawful for any person to practice or offer to practice an occupation defined in and governed by this chapter, or to use in connection with that person’s name or otherwise assume, use or advertise any title or description tending to convey the impression that the person is licensed, certificated or registered to practice an occupation defined in and governed by this chapter, unless the person has been duly licensed, certificated or registered under the provisions of this chapter.
