§ 20-503 — DEPARTMENT OF JUVENILE CORRECTIONS CREATED — APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR — POWERS AND DUTIES OF DEPARTMENT

Idaho·Title 20 STATE PRISON AND COUNTY JAILS·Ch. 5 JUVENILE CORRECTIONS ACT
(1)The department of juvenile corrections is hereby created. The department shall, for the purposes of section 20, article IV, of the constitution of the state of Idaho, be an executive department of the state government.
(2)The department shall be under the control and supervision of a director, who shall be appointed by the governor, with the advice and consent of the senate. The director shall exercise all of the powers and duties necessary to carry out the proper administration of the department and may delegate duties to employees and officers of the department.
