Inadditiontoanyotherdutiesimposeduponthesuperintendentbylaw, thesuperintendent
may require applicants and licensees to be licensed through the nationwide mortgage
licensing system and registry as defined in section 535D.3. In order to carry out this
requirement, the superintendent may participate in the nationwide mortgage licensing
system and registry. For this purpose, the superintendent may establish by rule or order
new requirements as necessary, including but not limited to requirements that applicants,
including officers and directors and those who have control of the applicant, submit to
fingerprinting and criminal history checks, and pay fees therefor.
