Text
1.An adjuster shall have a continuing duty to keep, at the adjuster’s place of business,
usual and customary records pertaining to transactions undertaken by the adjuster. All such
records shall be kept available and open for inspection by the division at any time during
regular business hours; however, the division is not entitled to inspect any records prepared
in anticipation of litigation or that are subject to any privilege recognized in chapter 622.
The records shall be maintained for a minimum of five years from the date of the adjuster
transaction.
2.An adjuster who fails to comply with this section shall be subject to penalties under
sections 522C.13 and 522C.14.
