Text
1.Each all-terrain vehicle used on public land, public ice, or a designated riding trail
of this state shall be currently registered. A person shall not operate, maintain, or give
§321I.3, ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES 4
permission for the operation or maintenance of an all-terrain vehicle on public land, public
ice, or a designated riding trail unless the all-terrain vehicle is registered in accordance
with this chapter or applicable federal laws or in accordance with an approved numbering
system of another state and the evidence of registration is in full force and effect. An
all-terrain vehicle registered in another state must also be issued a user permit in this state
in accordance with this chapter.
