Text
1.A petition alleging that a minor is in need of a conservatorship is not subject to this
chapter. Such proceedings shall be governed by chapter 633 and may be initiated pursuant
to section 633.557.
2.A petition for the appointment of a guardian for a minor and a petition for appointment
of a conservator of a minor shall not be combined.
3.If a minor guardianship proceeding under this chapter pertains to an Indian child as
defined in section 232B.3 and the proceeding is subject to the Iowa Indian child welfare
Act under chapter 232B, the proceeding and other actions taken in connection with the
proceeding shall comply with chapter 232B.
