Text

1.“Adult” means a person eighteen years of age or older or a person declared to be emancipated by a court of competent jurisdiction.
2.“Conservator” means a person appointed by a court to have custody and control of the property of a minor.
3.“Court” means the juvenile court established under section 602.7101.
4.“Demonstrated lack of consistent parental participation” means the refusal of a parent to comply with duties and responsibilities imposed upon a parent by the parent-child relationship, including but not limited to providing the minor with necessary food, clothing, §232D.102, MINOR GUARDIANSHIPS 2 shelter, health care, education, and other care and supervision necessary for the minor’s physical, mental, and emotional health and development.
