Text
1.The director may submit to the council for review and recommendation, rules
necessary to administer the duties, functions, and programs of the department. The director
may consider such recommendations in adopting rules for the department.
2.Therulesadoptedforthepublicbenefitsandprogramsadministeredbythedepartment
shall apply the residency eligibility restrictions required by federal and state law.
3.Thedirectorshallorganizethedepartmentintosubunitsasnecessarytomostefficiently
carry out the intent of this chapter and any other chapter the department is responsible for
administering.
4.If the department requires or requests a service consumer, service provider, or other
person to maintain required documentation in electronic form, the department shall accept
such documentation submitt
