Text
Unless a procedure or method of seizure and confiscation or condemnation is otherwise
provided, the secretary is authorized to prohibit the entrance into channels of commerce
or possession of any article found to be adulterated or improperly labeled according to the
provisions of this subchapter or rules adopted pursuant to this subchapter. Any articles
found in channels of commerce or in possession by an inspector which are not in compliance
with the adulteration or labeling provisions of this subchapter shall be subject to immediate
seizure by the department. Seized articles shall be condemned unless the articles can
be made to conform with the provisions of this subchapter by methods approved by the
