1.Except as otherwise provided pursuant to law for members elected in 1990, the term of officeofanextensioncouncilmemberisfouryears. Thetermshallcommenceonthefirstday of January following the date of the member’s election which is not a Sunday or legal holiday.

2.Eachextensioncouncilshallmeetatleasttwotimesduringacalendaryearandatother times during the year as the council determines. The date, time, and place of each meeting shall be fixed by the council.
