Text
1.A licensed veterinarian may provide veterinary medical services to an animal patient
by acting as a supervising veterinarian as provided in this subchapter and rules adopted by
the board.
2.A supervising veterinarian shall determine the supervision required for tasks delegated
to veterinary auxiliary personnel within the limits provided in this subchapter and rules
adopted by the board. The decision must be based on factors such as the veterinary auxiliary
personnel’s training, experience, and skill. The supervising veterinarian is responsible for
providing the required supervision and delegating tasks to veterinary auxiliary personnel.
