Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed as prohibiting the operation of any funeral home, funeral establishment, or cremation establishment by any person, heir, fiduciary, firm, cooperative burial association, or corporation. However, each such person, firm, cooperative burial association, or corporation shall ensure that all mortuary science services are provided by a funeral director, and shall keep the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing advised of the name of the funeral director.
