§ 33-6-35 — Notice of hearing; hearing procedures; cease and desist orders; penalties; judicial review; intervenors

(a) Whenever the Commissioner has reason to believe that any person has engaged or is engaging in this state in any unfair claims settlement practice and has reason to believe that a proceeding with respect to such unfair claims settlement practice would be in the public interest, the Commissioner shall serve upon such person a statement of the charges in that respect and a notice of hearing in the same manner as provided in Code Section 33-6-7 . (b) The provisions of Code Sections 33-6-7 through 33-6-11 , relating to hearings, cease and desist orders, penalties, judicial review, intervenors, and other matters in connection with violations of Article 1 of this chapter shall be applicable to violations of this article.
