(a)As used in this Code section, the term "conviction data" means a record of a finding or verdict of guilty or plea of guilty or nolo contendere with regard to any crime regardless of whether an appeal of the conviction has been sought.
(b)With respect to the requirements of paragraph (3) of subsection (a) of Code Section 33-23-5 , the Commissioner shall be authorized to obtain conviction data with respect to an applicant as authorized in this Code section. The Commissioner shall submit to the Georgia Crime Information Center two complete sets of fingerprints of the applicant for appointment or employment, the required records search fees, and such other information as may be required.
