Text

(a)It is the intent of the General Assembly that a portion of the proceeds of settlements received by the state relating to prescription drugs that are not controlled substances be appropriated for purposes of the program and distributed to eligible recipients in proportion to each such recipient's participation rate in the program.
(b)It is further the intent of the General Assembly that if funds are appropriated for purposes of this article, the department shall be required to distribute such appropriations to eligible recipients in proportion to each such recipient's level of participation in the program.
