(1)(a) The Department of Education shall establish the Purple Star School District Program. At a minimum, the program must require a participating school district to: 1. Have at least 75 percent of the schools within the district be designated as Purple Star Campuses under s. 1003.051. 2. Maintain a web page on the district’s website which includes resources for military students and their families and a link to each Purple Star Campus’s web page that meets the requirements of s. 1003.051(2)(a)2.
(b)The department may establish additional program criteria to identify school districts that demonstrate a commitment to or provide critical coordination of services for military students and their families, including, but not limited to, establishing a council consisting of a representative fro
